Spas Material

The materials used on our Spas are carefully chosen to provide optimal thermal and acoustic insulation, helping to reduce both energy consumption and environmental impact. On ESCAPE, MYSPA and MAWI SPA the Spa shell is crafted from reinforced acrylic while on Infinity it is made in gelcoat reinforced with fiberglass. All our Spa collections are well insulated with high-density polyurethane foam and equipped with a steel structural frame, on which all technical components are fixed.

On ESCAPE and MYSPA models an ABS base protects the Spa from infiltration and external agents while the sound absorbing panels on sides and on the bottom help improve sound ins ulation, making the whole spa experience even more enjoyable. The high-density polystyrene insulating cover, available on all Spa collections, significantly reduces heat loss, promoting energy efficiency, and at the same time protects the Spa from leaves, insects and impurities.

INFINITY, ESCAPE and MYSPA are equipped with 3 kind of jets (direct, with double rotation and with single rotation) which are combined to offer focused massages on different areas of the body; MAWI SPA, on the other hand, with its sleek and minimalistic design, is equipped with white Filo Jets, flat and perfectly integrated in the shell.

The Best Spa to Buy

The best spa to buy is perfectly tailored to your outdoor or indoor space and your individual wellness preferences. Key factors when choosing the ideal spa include the available space, the number of users, the spa dimensions and shape, as well as the desired hydrotherapy features such as massage jets, seating configuration, and water temperature control.

The choice of materials, colours, and finishes is equally important to ensure the spa integrates seamlessly into its surroundings. Energy efficiency, ease of maintenance, and premium comfort also play a key role. Ultimately, the best spa combines outstanding performance, sophisticated design, and lasting quality to create the perfect place for relaxation and wellbeing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a SPA work?

A SPA (hot tub) is equipped with a recirculation system that draws in water, filters it, and returns it to the tub through dedicated jets. The jets, powered by a high-performance pump, mix water and air to generate an adjustable hydromassage flow. A heating system keeps the water temperature constant, while the filtration and sanitization circuit helps preserve water quality and hygiene. The combined action of warm water, pressure, and air provides a uniform massage, promoting muscle relaxation and comfort.

How much space is required to install a SPA?

The required space depends on the model. In addition to the spa dimensions, leave at least 50–70 cm free on each side for access and maintenance. Built-in models require a technical space for servicing.

Is a specific base required for installation?

Yes. The SPA must be installed on a perfectly level, stable surface capable of supporting the weight of the filled spa and its occupants. A concrete slab, reinforced flooring, or a purpose-built structure is recommended.

Is a dedicated electrical connection required?

In most cases, yes. SPAs require a compliant electrical supply and often a dedicated line with residual-current and circuit-breaker protection. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Can it be installed in a garden, terrace, or balcony?

Yes, provided the surface can support the total weight of the SPA. For terraces and balconies, the load capacity should be verified by a qualified technician.

How much does a filled SPA weight?

Weight depends on the model size. A SPA for 4–5 people can easily weigh between 1,200 and 2,000 kg when filled and in use.

Is a permit required for installation?

In most EU countries, an above-ground portable SPA does not require a building permit. Rules may vary locally. In-ground or permanent installations may require specific authorizations.

How long does installation take?

Depending on the model, between 3 and 6 hours, excluding filling time.

How long does it take to heat the water?

It depends on spa capacity, heater power, and initial water temperature. On average, 8–24 hours are required.

What is the ideal water temperature?

28–30°C

Do all massage jets operate at the same time? Can they be adjusted?

It depends on the model. Please refer to the technical documentation.

If I forget the hydromassage on, does it switch off automatically?

Yes, after a maximum cycle of 20 minutes.

Does filtration work when hydromassage is off?

Yes, filtration works whether the hydromassage is on or off.

How long can you stay in a SPA?

For most people, 15–30 minutes per session is recommended, especially when water exceeds 37°C.

How many people can it accommodate?

Please refer to the technical data sheet for the selected model.

Can it be used all year round?

Yes. SPAs are designed for year-round use, including winter.

Can it be used when it rains or snows?

Yes, provided there are no thunderstorms or unsafe weather conditions.

How much energy does a SPA consume?

Consumption depends on insulation, outdoor temperature, usage frequency, and heating settings. Modern SPAs are designed to minimize energy use.

How much does it cost per month to keep it running?

Costs vary according to energy rates and usage conditions.

Should it be left on all the time?

Yes. In most cases, maintaining the set temperature is more efficient than reheating from cold before each use.

How often should the water be changed?

Generally every 3–4 months, depending on use, number of users, and water maintenance.

To what level should it be filled?

Automatic models use a level sensor. For non-automatic models, follow the level indicator inside the spa.

How does automatic top-up work?

On equipped models, if the water-level sensor detects no water, it activates the solenoid valve for refilling. For these models, besides the electrical connection also hydraulic predisposition must be made. Please refer to the technical documentation.

Can it be filled with hot water?

Yes, up to 38°C. If water exceeds 42°C, the product enters automatic safety lockout.

What is the maximum water temperature?

The maximum temperature that can be set from the keypad is 41°C.

What is the difference between a sand filter and a cartridge filter?

The main differences concern filtration efficiency, maintenance, operating costs, and water quality.
Cartridge filter

Pro
1. Lower cost.
2. Compact.
Con
1. Needs to be frequently rinsed (according to use).
2. Filters must be substituted every 6-12 months.

Sandfilter

Pro
1. Less manual maintenance.
2. Easy cleaning with backwashing.
3. Suitable for intensive use (families, hotels..).
Con
1. Higher cost.
2. Larger size.

Sand filter dimensions

On most models the sand filter is optional, installed in a dedicated technical compartment, and measures 71x48xH91 cm. On Infinity it is included as standard and fits under the shell.

If I have a sand filter, should I remove the cartridge filter?

No, but if retained it should be periodically checked and cleaned.

Can I order the sand filter later?

No. The required preparations must be made during production.

Which products are needed for water treatment?

Disinfectants, pH adjusters, anti-scale products, and specific cleaning products are generally required.

What is MySpa Care?

A water treatment and maintenance kit for all SPA models, including products for filter cleaning, shell cleaning, algae control, foam control, limescale reduction, pH adjustment, chlorination, and water testing.

How do I clean the cartridge filter?

Remove and rinse the filter, soak it in a suitable cleaner such as CleanFilterPool, rinse again, and reinstall. Weekly cleaning is recommended.

How do I clean the sand filter?

Use the backwash and rinse functions. Weekly cleaning is recommended.

How does UV work?

The UV lamp uses ultraviolet radiation to neutralize microorganisms in the water. It can reduce sanitizer usage by up to 50% and the lamp should be replaced every 12 months.

How is pH checked?

Using test strips or a digital tester. The ideal range is 7.2–7.6.

How long does a filter last?

With proper maintenance, typically 12–24 months.

How do I drain the SPA?

Disconnect the power supply, open the drain valve following the manual instructions, and clean the interior before refilling.

Must the SPA be installed by technical personnel?

Yes, installation must be carried out by qualified plumbing and electrical professionals.

Is the SPA safe for children?

Yes, provided they are supervised by an adult and use the SPA for limited periods at appropriate temperatures.

Can pregnant women use it?

Pregnant women should consult their doctor before using a SPA.

Are there contraindications for people with heart conditions?

People with cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure, or other medical conditions should consult their doctor before use.

Can the SPA be used with salt water?

No, our models are not designed for salt water.

Is the cover recommended or mandatory?

Mandatory for most collections; recommended for Mawi Spa.

What is the difference between a SPA and a standard whirlpool bath?

A SPA is designed for long-term use with filtration, heating, and continuous water treatment systems, while a standard whirlpool bath is filled and emptied after each use.

What are the benefits of hydromassage?

It may help muscle relaxation, reduce stress, improve circulation, and support overall well-being.

What is a heat exchanger?

A device that transfers heat from an external source to the SPA water without mixing the two circuits. In this way it is possible to heat the water up, using an existing heating system, like a boiler, heat pump or solar thermal system, reducing SPA energy consumption.

What should the heat exchanger be connected to?

An external heat source such as a gas or biomass boiler, heat pump, solar thermal system, or district heating network. To ensure the system operates properly, installation must be performed by qualified personnel and sized according to the heat source capacity and the SPA water volume.
